Information Security Specialist

Workplace: Lisbon (Hybrid)
Role:
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate information security vulnerabilities and risks;
  • Implement and monitor technical and organizational security controls;
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of Information Security policies and procedures, aligned with international standards (e.g., ISO/IEC 27001);
  • Support compliance initiatives related to GDPR and other regulations;
  • Participate in risk assessments, internal audits, and incident response plans;
  • Collaborate with technical and business teams to ensure the security of systems and data;
  • Ensure compliance with internal security policies, processes, and procedures;
  • Manage vulnerability processes, including identification, analysis, and remediation.
Profile:
  • Degree in Information Technology or a related field;
  • Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in cybersecurity and information security;
  • Experience in networking, security protocols (e.g., encryption), and firewall configuration;
  • Solid knowledge of vulnerability management tools (e.g., Qualys);
  • Knowledge of Microsoft technologies, namely Azure and Microsoft 365;
  • Familiarity with frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, and CIS Controls;
  • Certifications such as ISO/IEC 27001 Lead Implementer or Auditor, CISM (Certified Information Security Manager), and GDPR or data privacy certifications (e.g., CIPM, CDPO) are valued;
  • Fluency in English, both spoken and written;
  • Critical and analytical thinking for risk assessment and decision-making;
  • Excellent communication skills with both technical teams and non-technical stakeholders;
  • Leadership and influencing skills to promote security best practices across the organization.
