Microsoft 365 Governance & Operations Specialist

Workplace: Lisbon (On-Site)
Role:
  • Definition, implementation, and maintenance of the Microsoft 365 governance model;
  • Management of the Hub 365 (currently managed by the client), ensuring alignment with standards and best practices;
  • Creation, update, and maintenance of management and operational documentation for the M365 ecosystem;
  • Management of Microsoft 365 licensing, including different types, profiles, and optimization considering the existing complexity and lack of structured information in ITSM;
  • Management of authorized domains for external sharing and respective policies;
  • Management of visibility, ownership, and lifecycle of Microsoft Teams;
  • Management and governance of Microsoft 365 Groups;
  • Management of access rights in the context of M365 mobility;
  • Handling of 3rd level requests and incidents;
  • Definition of operational and lifecycle procedures;
  • Delivery and handover of procedures to the consortium;
  • Inventory of M365 functionalities and services, as well as monitoring Microsoft updates and roadmap;
  • Monitoring and follow-up of Microsoft service health notifications and global incidents;
  • Tracking and management of tickets with Microsoft;
  • Delivery of training sessions and workshops (Teams, Planner, licensing, M365 best practices).
Profile:
  • Degree in Information Technology or a related field;
  • Professional experience in Microsoft 365 administration and governance;
  • Proven experience with Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online, Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power Virtual Agents;
  • Experience in defining M365 governance models, standards, and processes;
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 licensing management and optimization, including usage analysis and optimization;
  • Knowledge of Azure AD / Entra ID, including groups, permissions, and access control;
  • Experience in external sharing management and compliance;
  • Ability to design and document operational and governance procedures;
  • Experience in interacting with and escalating issues to Microsoft support;
  • Knowledge of ITSM (incidents, requests, problems, and changes);
  • Analytical skills to track updates and assess the impact of new M365 services;
  • Good knowledge of English (spoken and written);
  • Strong communication skills and ability to interact with multiple stakeholders;
  • High sense of responsibility and autonomy.
