Senior Data Warehouse Engineer

Workplace: Lisbon (Hybrid)
Role:
  • Design and develop data models, ETL pipelines, and data integration processes, integrating data from various sources (databases, APIs, streaming platforms, etc.);
  • Ensure the accuracy, efficiency, and scalability of Data Warehouse processes through monitoring, tuning, and platform optimization;
  • Support the expansion of Data Warehouse and Data Mart data models by designing robust structures, tables, and objects;
  • Implement data quality controls, monitoring, and governance standards;
  • Design and develop Power BI reports and dashboards (operational, strategic, and analytical);
  • Define and implement best practices, guidelines, and reusable processes to drive efficiency and quality;
  • Deliver insights that support the business in monitoring KPIs and making informed, data-driven decisions.
Profile:
  • Degree in Information Technology or a related field;
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in similar roles;
  • Strong knowledge of Data Warehousing, Data Lakes, and modern Data Warehouse architecture;
  • Experience with Public Cloud (good understanding of Compute, Storage, Networking, Identity, etc.);
  • Proficiency with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and DevOps practices;
  • Professional experience configuring and using Databricks on any public cloud (Azure preferred);
  • Knowledge of ETL processes handling large volumes of data;
  • Strong expertise in SQL Server and performance optimization;
  • Good knowledge of Fabric and PostgreSQL is a plus;
  • Familiarity with developing and optimizing Power BI dashboards;
  • Fluency in Portuguese and English;
  • Spanish language skills are a plus;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across different teams and companies;
  • Proactive, autonomous, and a strong team player;
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
