Database Technician (Oracle, SQL Server, and PostgreSQL)

Workplace: Lisbon (Hybrid)
Role:
  • Complete administration of Oracle, SQL Server, and PostgreSQL databases (installation, configuration, maintenance, monitoring, and expansion);
  • Database migration and version updates;
  • Implementation and management of high availability and disaster recovery solutions;
  • Management of backups and restores (RMAN, pg_dump, pg_restore) and participation in recovery tests;
  • Performance optimization, incident resolution, and query tuning;
  • Administration of Oracle RAC, ASM, Data Guard, GoldenGate, and Grid Infrastructure;
  • Management of users, roles, and permissions, applying the principle of least privilege;
  • Monitoring and capacity management with OEM, Cloud Control, and pgAdmin;
  • Configuration of secure authentication (SSL, scram-sha-256) and security policies;
  • Task automation (bash, PowerShell, Python, cron);
  • Technical support for servers and associated platforms.
Profile:
  • Higher education in Information Technology or similar field;
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Oracle, SQL Server, and PostgreSQL database administration in critical and high-availability environments;
  • Proven experience in installing, configuring, maintaining, and monitoring Oracle databases;
  • Proficiency in Oracle RAC, ASM, Data Guard, GoldenGate, Grid Infrastructure, Exadata Cloud, and Enterprise Manager;
  • Solid knowledge of RMAN, backup/restore strategies, and disaster recovery plan implementation;
  • Experience in performance tuning (AWR, SQL Tuning Advisor, execution plans, deadlock analysis);
  • Knowledge of SQL Server administration (SSMS, recovery models, user and permission management);
  • Knowledge of PostgreSQL administration (pg_dump, pg_restore, vacuum, SSL, scram-sha-256, pgAdmin);
  • Experience in automation with bash, cron, PowerShell, or Python;
  • Knowledge of Linux, Unix, and Windows Server operating systems;
  • Fluency in English (spoken and written);
  • Knowledge of Spanish will be valued;
  • Strong ability to analyze and resolve complex incidents;
  • Clear communication with technical and business teams;
  • Proactivity and focus on continuous improvement;
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage priorities;
  • Autonomy and adaptation to multinational and dynamic environments.
